..:: wild thing ::..

Hi everyone! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog and IG with a fun layout for you using, flair from AFFB's Black and Gold Set and the Black and White Words 2 Set, and some yummy products from Color Cast Designs (old and new)!

I pulled the colors from the photo -- her skirt and bike are salmon-ish, and those Mine Craft sunglasses are purple (her favorite color). And I just happened to have some Color Cast products, thread and washi to help pull those colors out. I found two pieces of flair from the Black and Gold set that I thought worked really well to help add pops of black and white, and also added to the story.

I am in love with this acrylic and wood veneer set from Color Cast Design's July release. I am not really a big fan of purple, but this is just gorgeous and I loved working with it and the star confetti from July -- I also threw in some salmon and light blue confetti from past releases.

This arrow flair is from the Black and White Words 2 set and it helped to bring the focus to my story and help move the eyes around the page. I totally love how it looks with the black and white text paper from Amy Tangerine's latest colloction.

I also used Sketchy Saturday sketch from Paper Issues, you can find that here.

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

..:: shark girl ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {A Flair for Buttons} blog today with this colorful layout and process video!

I was completely inspired by the flair that you see in the photo below!  When I saw it, I knew I wanted to do a layout that used water colored flowers.

I grabbed a cut file from the Silhouette store and cut the holes in my background paper so that I could hand stitch around the flower, then I painted the flower using gelatos and a bit of water. I used the same painting technique for a bunch of other flowers that I cut out of white card stock, and then added them to my page.

I used three pieces of flair from the same set -- Watercolors and I just love how this turned out. Here are a few more close-ups.

I made a process video of that something that suits your fancy!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

..:: you make me happy when skies are gray ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the Scrapbook Circle blog with my last project for them. I'm sad to see the kits stop, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Lisa has in store for us next!

For this layout I used the "happy" acrylic word, and I spray painted it orange! :-) I laid out the rest of the title in my Silhouette software and cut it out, I backed the whole layout with the corrugated, navy blue card stock. I like how it makes the words pop!

Since I was using so many polka dots, I decided I didn't want to use the cork shapes as hexagons, so I got out my 1 inch circle punch and made them circles! I painted a few of the circle Vicki Boutin stickers orange, for a few pops of orange, a popped them off the page with pop dots.

I really like how this turned out! I had such a fun time working with the Scrapbook Circle kits!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
